We've had a month or two off, due to things like Jake having his tonsils out, Mark's wife has had a new baby, etc etc.  However, we have been busy.  Andy has gone off to join another band. We wish him well - it seems to be going great.  We've now been joined full time by Will Brown, and we're back to full strength.  We've also added quite a few new songs, and we're getting ready to start gigging again in the new year.

First gig at the King's Oak coming up this Thursday - hope to see you there.  We're  playing with the 'Trash', a Clash tribute band.  It's going to be a great night.

We played in the auditions at the Chicago Rock Competition, and we're through to the heats.  Check back again soon to see when we're playing.  We need all the support we can get, as audience participation is part of the score!

We've had a few gigs since our last update. Three worth mentioning:  first of all was the Time and Envy Dirty Habit gig with Vero.  This went down really well and the whole evening was a great success. Positive feedback from everyone who went. The next gig worth mentioning was the Hastings open air FUB biker festival. This was an absolutely amazing gig, the atmosphere, the bands, the people, the booze, the drugs, everything was just superb. It couldn't have gone better, and everyone there seemed to agree.  The final gig to talk about was the one at the Ruskin arms on Friday the 12th of August. This was Colin's birthday and the band ended up with a last minute headlining slot at the Ruskin's. After a late start, the band soon kicked into high gear and as usual tore the house down. Massive audience reaction and some great feedback, this was a birthday that Colin won't soon forget!!

Next gig on Friday 24th at the Playroom, Baker Street.  Click Here for directions/Flyer.

Review of the Pacific Edge gig on Dukester: (http://www.dukester.uk2k.com/):

"Bringing the Pacific Edge alldayer into full swing, AA are a band capable of bringing the house down. What they have is a very old school approach to rock n' roll but there's no reservations, no cliche's, no spandex but now hiding their intent, AA are a balls out classic rock band that lets the performance do the talking. Seasoned players play hard with no let up, while the exuberant frontman jumps and throws shapes all the way through their set. Some fancy guitar work and big atmosphere provided by their tuneage that sees the band also bringing in elements of punk attitude, metal grit and emotive catharsis, above all else its a big big rock show from five guys without the glitz and glamour, just being honest and with great results. "

*** Bad News **  - Lee has had a crash on his bike, and broken his arm, so he won't be able to play for a few months.  We all wish him well, and a speedy recovery.  In the meantime, Will Brown is going to stand in, so we should be able to keep things going.

Pacific Edge, Sunday 5th June. This was a fun gig.  It was a last minute thing, but it came together well, and we got some great feedback.

Even though we were a man down, we still managed put on a great show at the Purple Turtle on Thursday 2nd June.  As usual, we got a great reaction from the crowd, and plenty of jumping around.

The gig at the Standard went down really well and although Jake had Tonsillitis the performance was as energetic and entertaining as always.  There was a definite buzz in the atmosphere and positive feedback from everyone who was there, "wow you guy's were brilliant -  at last a band that doesn't put people to sleep" was just one of the comments made after the band had played their usual explosive and entertaining show!!!!

Don't forget the Standard, Blackhorse Road, Walthamstow, on 12th May.  Click Here for Directions/Flyer

Rock Idol - Jake had a sore throat, so he couldn't do the heat of Rock Idol on the 5th May, in Chelmsford.

More gigs lined up - See the Gigs page..

Hermit 23rd April ** Moved to July ** due to staffing problems at the venue.

Ruskin Arms, 1st April gig was great fun - large audience and lots of jumping about.

Hope & Anchor - Great Gig, with some other great bands. Thanks to Neon Promotions.  We've been invited back to play at the Purple Turtle.  Review at

"Appropriate Agent, and the five piece manage to incorporate a wide range of styles (everything from Pennywise to Metallica...and then some) into an overall rock/metal sound. Mostly hard 'n' heavy but always tuneful, these guys are very entertaining and they even finish with a cover of Enter Sandman...who couldn't like 'em?"

Ruskin Arms gig on the 4th went well - we had to do 2 sets as the other bands didn't turn up!  Photo's on the way soon.

Ruskin Arms and Purple Turtle gigs went well - new pictures added.

Recording Session November 6th at Stag Studios (http://www.stagstudios.com/index.php) went really well - have a listen on the music page.  Steve gets an excellent sound and we recommend using him if you want a good recording.

Secrets Gig on 16th went down well: (Thanks to Lee & Simon for the Sweet Catastrophe event).

http://www.dukester.uk2k.com/: Appropriate Agent got the crowd moving that's for sure. And they rocked & rolled, the singer leaning on his mike stand smiling at first as the band played hard, edgy rock n' roll with some duelling guitar action and at times a three guitar attack. Frigging nice

http://www.waffleon.co.uk/waffle/vt.asp?TID=1284&PN=2 Appropriate Agent were brilliant.....got the crowd going a bit and were full of energy. Played a new song called When Butterflies Collide, and it was one of the best songs I've heard in ages. So fucking powerful, so much fucking energy....absolutely brilliant

Also - Acoustic Agent occasionally play at the Napier in Brentwood on Thursday evenings - see http://www.paulsgig.com/.
